So I took a class on the Coen Brothers (The makers of The Big Lebowski) once and my teacher commented on the fact that they had a habit of bending genres. They were very good at taking genre conventions and turning them on their heads, almost as if it was a tribute not only to the original genre, but to the masters of the craft.
So what does that legitimately have to do with the post. Well the professor said that they had successfully done this type of thing for almost every genre available to which I suggested, “They haven’t made a superhero movie yet.”
She knowingly replied, “What about The Dude?”

This movie was legit. I just finished watching it. I never thought a speech where the main subject was a nut could be so eloquent and heartfelt at the same time.

I think I’m going to fall in love with her. It has nothing to do with Harry Potter and everything to do with the fact that she’s playing Sam from The Perks of Being a Wallflower and I love Sam.
